This three-star property on the tiny island of Psérimos feels refreshingly authentic — no marble lobbies or over-the-top flourishes, just solid Greek hospitality in one of the most peaceful spots I’ve encountered in the Dodecanese. The moment you step off the boat (because that’s literally the only way to get here), you realize you’ve found something special.

The Island Setting

Psérimos is basically Greece’s best-kept secret — a speck of land between Kos and Kalymnos that most tourists sail past without a second thought. That’s their loss, honestly. The island has maybe 80 permanent residents, a handful of tavernas, and beaches that look like someone’s desktop wallpaper. Nesea 2 sits right in the heart of this tranquility, and I mean that literally — you can walk to the main beach in about three minutes. The location rating of 9.6 makes perfect sense when you realize you’re essentially staying in a postcard.

The Accommodation Experience

The rooms are what I’d call “comfortable simplicity done right.” Nothing fancy, but everything works exactly as it should. Air conditioning that actually cools the room, a decent shower with proper water pressure, and — this matters more than you’d think — really effective blackout curtains for those afternoon naps. The balconies are where you’ll spend most of your time anyway, looking out over water so blue it almost hurts your eyes. I actually found myself waking up early just to watch the sunrise with my coffee, which is saying something for someone who usually considers 10 AM early.

Daily Life on Psérimos

Here’s the thing about staying at Nesea 2 — you’re not just booking a hotel room, you’re buying into a completely different pace of life. Breakfast happens when you want it to happen (within reason), and the staff genuinely seems to care about whether you’re enjoying yourself. The island operates on what I can only describe as “Mediterranean time,” where rushing is considered slightly rude and long conversations over coffee are basically mandatory. There’s a small market for essentials, but honestly, you’ll find yourself eating at the local tavernas most nights anyway — the fish is incredible, and the portions are generous enough to share.

Why Guests Love It

That 9.2 overall rating isn’t an accident, and neither is the fact that couples rate the location even higher at 9.4. This place works because it delivers exactly what it promises — peace, authentic Greek island life, and the kind of digital detox you didn’t know you needed. You’re not going to find a spa or a fitness center, but you will find yourself swimming in crystal-clear water, reading books you’ve been meaning to finish for months, and actually having conversations without checking your phone every five minutes. If you’re looking for nightlife and shopping, book somewhere else. If you want to remember why you fell in love with the Greek islands in the first place, Nesea 2 is perfect.

  The host is great, when I arrived I found a bottle of wine, biscuits, jam and some food. The communication with her was perfect and she was always available. The apartment is very nice and clean, it has a balcony where you can have breakfast and a kitchen provided with everything I needed. At first, I had a little problem with Wi-Fi but the host fixed it very quickly, moreover the Wi-Fi connection is super fast, I could watch movies before sleeping without any problem. The apartment is located among gardens and olive trees. The bedroom is small but it is not hot, at night I have enjoyed the fresh air coming from outside. I really recommend this apartment and I hope to come back 🙂

  Set back about 3 minutes walk from the beach, a lovely little spacious apartment with a balcony overlooking the "street". Village life goes on around you, the odd sheep runs past, the neighbouring little owl comes out occasionally, birds of prey overhead. When the day trippers find their way here, you are still private as way above their heads. Great shower, comfy beds. A couple of quirks to get used to, but this is Greece! Will certainly return. Excellent communications with Nomiki.
