Emily’s House Overview

First Impressions

Walking up to Emily’s House, you immediately get the sense that this isn’t your typical three-star hotel — it feels more like staying at a well-traveled friend’s place who happens to have impeccable taste. The property sits right in the heart of Kos Town, and honestly, the location alone makes it worth considering. There’s something refreshingly unpretentious about the whole setup, with that perfect parking spot waiting for you right on-site (which, trust me, is gold in this part of town).

Location & Getting Around

You know what really struck me about staying here? You can walk to pretty much everything that matters in Kos Town without breaking a sweat. The harbor is just a few minutes away, and you’re close enough to the old town that you can wander over for dinner without needing to plan transportation. I mean, having your own parking space is fantastic, but you’ll find yourself leaving the car behind most of the time. The neighborhood has that lived-in Greek island feel — not too touristy, but with enough cafes and local spots to keep things interesting.

The Accommodation Experience

The rooms at Emily’s House have this comfortable, homey vibe that actually helps you relax rather than feeling like you’re staying in a sterile hotel box. Everything’s clean and well-maintained, though don’t expect flashy amenities — this place is more about getting the basics absolutely right. The beds are genuinely comfortable (I’m picky about this), and there’s enough space to spread out your stuff without feeling cramped. What I appreciated most was how quiet it stays at night, despite being so centrally located.

What Sets It Apart

Here’s the thing that really makes this place special — it’s earned a perfect 10 rating from guests, and after staying there, I totally get why. The attention to detail is subtle but consistent, from how smoothly check-in goes to the way common areas are maintained. You’re not paying for marble lobbies or concierge services, but everything that should work does work, and work well. The staff genuinely seems to care about making sure you have what you need, which honestly matters more than fancy touches when you’re trying to enjoy your vacation.

Why Guests Love It

Couples particularly seem to fall for this place — there’s something about the intimate scale and prime location that works perfectly for romantic getaways. You can stroll to waterfront restaurants for dinner, explore the medieval old town during the day, then come back to your own little retreat. The free parking means you can easily take day trips around the island without worrying about finding a spot when you return. It’s that rare combination of being right in the middle of everything while still feeling like a peaceful escape from the tourist crowds.

Early hotels booking in Bodrum secures jazz festival seats, olive grove picnics, and day trips to Kos.

Reviews of Emily’s House

  • Anna from Russia (10/10)

I recently stayed at Lefteris' apartment “Emily’s house” in Kos and had an absolutely wonderful experience. There were several aspects that really stood out to me:

    1. Lefteris was incredibly hospitable. Upon our arrival, he greeted us with a lovely fruit basket and a fridge stocked with drinks and treats. Upon departure, he even gave us parting gifts, which was such a thoughtful gesture.

    2. Lefteris was always available to help. When I had a biking accident on the way to Asclepion, he not only assisted with first aid for my injuries but also drove me to the pharmacy and hospital. His help was invaluable, and I am truly grateful for his kindness.

    3. The apartment perfectly matched the photos—beautifully appointed and equipped with everything needed for a comfortable stay.

    4. The cleanliness of the apartment was impeccable.

    5. The location was ideal, with easy walking access to Kos town center and the beach, as well as convenient proximity to shops and cafes.

Lefteris gave us a warm welcome when we arrived. It was great that he had already put some drinks and snacks in our fridge when we arrived in the evening. He was always available during our stay and made us feel at home. We also used his transfer service, which was very comfortable.

The house lies in a quiet residential area but is still not far from the beach and old town. Parking the car was easy. The apartment had everything we needed. The kitchen area is small, but there are enough pots to cook on the cooker.

The bedroom has a low ceiling, but since it's clearly written, this is not a reason to complain.

All in all it's a great place for a relaxed vacation!

  • Seval from Turkey (10/10)

Nice, clean and cozy place with all equipments you may ever need, all day has a daylight. Location is also quite good, close to the beaches by 10 min walking. We had a safe, nice and relaxing vacation.

  • Gordon from United Kingdom (10/10)

Great location in a quiet area of town with a straight line 1km walk to the harbour.
The owner, Lefteris, is super-helpful and will quickly supply local guidance, rental cars or kitchen items when asked. He waited up until 2am for us when our plane was delayed and immediately drove me to the harbour to meet my daughter on the late-night ferry and show me the route.
Clean, comfortable, well equipped kitchen and living area and good beds.
Be aware of the low ceiling in the top/double bedroom – you get used to it.

Emily’s House was perfect for me, as a solo traveler. the location was wonderful – just a few minutes walk to the hustle-and-bustle of the main tourist area, but quiet in itself. there were bakeries and a terrific fruit/veggie place (Mr. Bananas) close by. however, the host, Lefteris, had a large bowl of fresh fruit waiting for me and a refrigerator stocked with beverages. the apartment is spacious in the main living area and kitchen. It has a toaster and microwave! I slept in the small room downstairs so I didn’t have to do the steps in the middle of the night to use the bathroom. That was fine. The Wi-Fi worked well. Lefteris was a terrific host. Vicky, who works for him, showed me how to use the washer and I washed all of my clothes (I’d been in Greece for 3 weeks). There is also a large drying rack, typical in Greece. things dry in less than a day. the apartment gets a lot of sun and is quite well equipped. (and Lefteris let me walk his dog, Layla; the cat visited too, which I didn’t mind)

  • Vanya from Germany (10/10)

The apartment has absolutely everything you need and it is situated in a great location. Close to the town center but not noisy. Enough places to park a car. Lefteris offered us a full fridge of amenities. We had a great time. Would definitely recommend this place.
