Granny’s House Overview

First Impressions

Walking up to Granny’s House on Kolokotróni Street, you immediately get the sense that this isn’t your typical three-star hotel. The name might sound quaint, but there’s something genuinely welcoming about the place that hits you right away. I mean, it’s got that perfect balance — homey enough to feel comfortable, but polished in all the right ways. The fact that they’ve managed to earn a 9.8 rating tells you something’s working here, and honestly, after spending time in Kos Town, I can see why guests keep coming back.

Location & Neighborhood

Here’s the thing about the location — couples absolutely love it here, rating it 9.9 for romantic getaways, and I totally get why. You’re right in the heart of Kos Town’s top-rated area, which means you can actually walk to the ancient sites, the harbor, and those little tavernas that locals frequent. The free parking is a genuine lifesaver too, because let’s be honest, finding a decent parking spot in Greek island towns can be a nightmare. From Granny’s House, you’re close enough to everything that matters but tucked away on a quieter street where you won’t be dealing with constant tourist foot traffic.

The Experience

What strikes me most about this place is how they’ve nailed that sweet spot between authentic Greek hospitality and modern comfort. The staff genuinely seems to care about making your stay memorable — not in that over-the-top way that feels forced, but more like you’re staying with friends who happen to run a really well-organized guesthouse. You know what I love? The little touches that show someone’s actually thinking about what travelers need, whether it’s local recommendations that go beyond the obvious tourist spots or just making sure everything works properly in your room.

Exploring from Here

The beauty of staying at Granny’s House is how easy it makes exploring Kos Town and beyond. You can walk to the Castle of the Knights in about five minutes, and the ancient Agora is practically around the corner. But here’s what most people don’t realize — you’re also perfectly positioned for day trips to the beaches or even ferry rides to nearby islands. The location score of 9.9 isn’t just about being central; it’s about being in that perfect spot where you feel connected to the real rhythm of the town rather than stuck in some tourist bubble.

Why Guests Love It

I think what really sets this three-star property apart is how it manages to exceed expectations without trying too hard. Guests consistently rave about it because it delivers on the fundamentals — cleanliness, comfort, and genuine service — while adding those personal touches that make a stay memorable. The combination of that excellent location, the free parking (seriously, this is huge in Kos Town), and what feels like authentic Greek warmth creates something special. It’s the kind of place where you’ll find yourself planning your next visit to Kos before you’ve even checked out.

Hotel in Bodrum reservations spike before Bodrum Cup week when regatta crews fill waterfront terraces.

It was really enjoyable to stay in this appartment. It has a perfect location, from where you can get to many sights by walk, and has a plenty restaraunts nearby. It is cozy, clean and modern, with a narrow balcony where you can sit and enjoy mornings and evenings. On the first floor you there is an ice cream cafe, where we picked the keys. To get into appartment, it has a separate door with a stairs to seconds floor. The bed is new and very comfortable. The appartment has all you need – the cofee machine, the fridge, iron, hairdryier, tv, etc. We did not meet the host Kallia, we talked over the phone, she was very friendly and positive. Thank you for great experience staying in Kos, I highly recommend this place.

Şehrin merkezinde çok güzel bir konuma sahipti. Konut yeni yapılmış bütün malzemeler sıfır etiketleri duruyordu. Evde hiç bir sorun ile karşılaşmadık. Ev sahibi çok sıcak kanlıydı. Hem evi hem bölgeyi çok iyi tanıttı. Her aradığımızda ihtiyacımız olduğunda çözüm üretti.
Çok teşekkür ederiz. Yeni tatilimizde yine aynı evde olmak isteriz…
