It’s one of those three-star places that doesn’t try to be something it’s not — just a solid, well-run hotel that happens to sit in an absolutely prime spot in Kos Town. The building has that classic Greek island charm without being overly touristy, and honestly, the location alone makes it worth considering.

Here’s what I love about staying here — you’re literally steps away from everything that matters in Kos Town. The harbor is right there, which means you can catch those day trips to nearby islands without any hassle. The old town with its medieval castle and ancient ruins? Easy walk. And when you want to grab dinner or drinks, you’ve got dozens of tavernas and bars within a few minutes’ stroll. I mean, you could probably stumble back to your room after a night out without even thinking about it.

What Your Stay Actually Looks Like

The rooms are clean and comfortable — nothing fancy, but they’ve got everything you need for a Greek island getaway. Air conditioning that actually works (trust me, this matters in summer), decent Wi-Fi, and most importantly, many rooms have sea views that make you want to sit on your balcony with a coffee and just watch the boats come and go. The bathrooms are updated enough that you won’t be complaining, and there’s usually hot water when you need it after a day at the beach.

Beach Life and Beyond

You know what’s great? The beach is practically at your doorstep. Not the most pristine sand you’ll ever see, but it’s perfect for a quick swim or some sunbathing between exploring the town. There’s also a decent restaurant on-site where you can grab breakfast or a casual meal — the Greek salad is actually pretty good, and they do a solid moussaka. The staff here genuinely seems to care about making sure you have a good time, which isn’t always a given at this price point.

Look, this isn’t a resort with fancy amenities or a spa, but that’s not really the point. What Alexandra Beach does well is give you a comfortable place to sleep in the heart of Kos Town without breaking the bank. Couples especially seem to get it — there’s something romantic about being able to walk to dinner along the harbor, then come back to a quiet room with a sea view. The fact that recent guests keep rating the location so highly tells you everything you need to know. Sometimes the best hotels are the ones that just get out of your way and let you enjoy where you are.

  The room and bathroom were very clean. Breakfast was good, and I had one lunch in the restaurant, which was also enjoyable. The pool was clean, though I only sat on the bench nearby. The staff were very helpful; when I needed to extend my stay by one night, they arranged for me to remain in the same room.

Loved our balcony, was great to sit and rest in the sun. The Day trip around Kos island was brilliant, the Guide was so informative he made the island alive, highly recommend, as well as the 30 minute boat ride to Bodrum in Turkey.

  Great location and helpful staff. There are supermarkets in the street and very close restaurants and beach clubs. They have a locker for your luggage in case you have to wait for the check in/check out, and toilet facilities, which is very helpful. They have booking taxi service.
