Tigaki is one of those Kos gems that hasn’t been completely overrun yet, and Socrates Studios sits in what I’d call the sweet spot of the area. You’re close enough to the beach that you can actually walk there without breaking a sweat, but far enough from the main strip that you won’t be dealing with late-night noise from bars. The couples who stay here consistently rave about the location — and I mean, when you’re getting 9.5 ratings for location, that’s saying something. There’s free private parking right on site too, which is honestly a godsend if you’re planning to explore the island by car.

The Accommodation

The studios themselves are what I’d describe as “smart simple” — everything you need without unnecessary frills. Each unit has a proper kitchenette that’s actually functional (not just for show), and the layouts make good use of the space without feeling cramped. The beds are comfortable, the air conditioning works well during those hot Greek afternoons, and there’s enough storage that you won’t be living out of your suitcase. What really impressed me was the attention to cleanliness and maintenance — you can tell they take pride in keeping everything in top condition.

The Experience

What sets this place apart is how it strikes that perfect balance between independence and hospitality. You get the freedom of having your own space with cooking facilities, but the staff is genuinely helpful when you need recommendations or assistance. The whole property has this peaceful, residential feel that makes it easy to settle into a proper vacation rhythm. Mornings here are particularly lovely — you can make your own coffee and sit outside without feeling like you’re in the middle of a tourist circus. It’s the kind of place where you actually want to spend time at the accommodation, not just crash between beach sessions.

  We stayed at this lovely gem of a place for 6 nights. Socrates and his family are so lovely and welcoming and make everyone feel like family when they arrive. The room was great and very clean. It's in the perfect location for getting around the island and visiting other places. Tigaki has a great variety of tavernas and bars. This is a special place. Thank you. We will be back.

  We had a 2-bedroom accommodation on the top floor with nice views of the pool and the field. The rooms were spacious, bathroom was new and the shower was powerful. The staff if is very friendly and they encourage people to enjoy themselves – play in the pool, enjoy some drinks or meals or dance on the rooftop at night. We felt really at home there. It's about 15 mins walk to the beach. We didn't use any self-catering facilities but there are some basic ones in every room, I think. It's a family-run business and everyone works hard to make your stay as comfortable as possible. Their pool is a good size with deep end and shallow end to suit swimmers and kids.
