Old Town Comfort by Irini Overview
First Impressions
Walking up to Old Town Comfort by Irini, you immediately get that feeling you’re staying somewhere special — not because it’s flashy, but because it just fits so perfectly into the historic heart of Kos Town. The three-star property sits right on Kolokotroni Street, and honestly, you couldn’t ask for a better spot to explore everything this charming Greek island town has to offer. There’s something refreshingly authentic about the place that makes you feel like you’ve stumbled onto a local secret rather than just another tourist hotel.
Location & Neighborhood
I mean, when couples rate the location 9.5 out of 10, you know you’re onto something good. The property sits in what’s genuinely the top-rated area in Kos — and after spending time here, I totally get why. You’re literally steps away from the medieval Old Town with its cobblestone streets and ancient ruins, but you’re also close enough to the harbor that you can hear the gentle sounds of boats bobbing in the marina. The Castle of the Knights is practically around the corner, and you can walk to the Tree of Hippocrates in about five minutes. What I really love is that you’re in the thick of things without being on some crazy busy tourist strip.
The Accommodations
The rooms at Old Town Comfort by Irini strike that perfect balance between comfort and character that you hope for but don’t always find. They’ve managed to keep things modern and clean while respecting the building’s traditional Greek architecture — you know, those thick walls that actually keep things cool during the day and the kind of windows that frame the old town views just right. The beds are genuinely comfortable (which matters more than people think when you’re doing a lot of walking around ancient sites), and there’s enough space to spread out your stuff without feeling cramped.
Exploring from Here
What really makes this place work is how effortlessly you can dive into both the historical and modern sides of Kos Town. In the morning, you might wander over to the Agora ruins with your coffee, then spend the afternoon browsing the shops along the pedestrian streets that branch out from your doorstep. The local tavernas are right there — not the touristy ones, but the places where you’ll actually hear Greek being spoken at the next table. And when you want to hit the beach, it’s an easy walk or quick bike ride to some really nice stretches of sand.
Why Guests Love It
There’s something to be said for a hotel that doesn’t try to be everything to everyone but instead does one thing really, really well — and that’s putting you right in the heart of authentic Kos Town life. The 8.4 rating reflects what you experience here: solid comfort, unbeatable location, and that sense that you’re staying somewhere that locals would actually recommend to their friends. You’re not just visiting Kos; you’re living in it, even if it’s just for a few days. That’s honestly worth more than any fancy amenity.
To book a hotel in Bodrum during gulet festivals, visitors plan ahead to balance harbor sunsets with bazaar nights.

Spacious apartment, location is great, 5 minutes away from the harbour. A bit of a stroll to the beach, but well worth it. Great hosts. It is hard to go wrong when in Greece. Efharisto poli!

Kaan from Turkey (9/10)
The location was perfect, conveniently close to key attractions, restaurants and markets. It offered the ideal balance of tranquility and accessibility. The room itself was cozy and clean. We stayed here during the summer and were pleased to find mosquito nets on both the window and balcony door. Additionally, the air conditioning worked perfectly, making our stay comfortable.
The owners – a mother and daughter duo – were lovely, with warm hospitality and genuine care for their guests, always being available for any needs or questions.
I recommend this accommodation for anyone looking for a welcoming and well-located place to stay.Blake from United States (9/10)

The apartment was very clean and had everything we needed
It has a small balcony but ample space to sit out at night. It is situated near everything very easy to walk everywhere to see all the historical sites. The owners were always on hand and helpful advising us where the supermarkets were etc.
