Maritina Hotel Overview

First Impressions

Walking up to Maritina Hotel on L. Vironos Street, you immediately get that feeling you’ve stumbled onto something good. It’s not flashy or trying too hard — just a solid three-star property that clearly knows what it’s doing. The building has that Mediterranean charm without being overly touristy, and honestly, the location alone makes you feel like you’ve made a smart choice. You’re right in the heart of Kos Town, but somehow it doesn’t feel chaotic or overwhelming.

Location & Getting Around

Here’s the thing about this spot — couples absolutely love it, and I can see why they rate it 9.2 for romantic getaways. You’re literally in the best-rated area of Kos, which means everything you want to see is within walking distance. The harbor is just a few minutes away, and you can easily stroll to the ancient Asklepion ruins or pop into those little tavernas that locals actually frequent. I mean, when you can walk to both the archaeological sites and the nightlife without breaking a sweat, you know you’ve picked well.

The Room Experience

The room I stayed in was exactly what you’d expect from a well-run three-star — clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully arranged. Nothing fancy, but everything worked properly, which is honestly more than you can say for some places. The air conditioning was a lifesaver during those hot August afternoons, and the bathroom was modern enough that you don’t feel like you’re roughing it. What I really appreciated was how quiet it stayed at night, even though you’re in the center of town.

Breakfast & Dining

The breakfast setup here actually impressed me — they offer Continental, American, and buffet options, so whether you want a quick coffee and pastry or a full spread, you’re covered. The buffet has a good mix of local Greek items and international favorites, and the coffee is strong enough to get you going for a day of exploring. There’s also a restaurant on-site, though honestly, with so many authentic tavernas within walking distance, I found myself venturing out most evenings. The dining experience reflects the hotel’s commitment to guest satisfaction.

Why Guests Love It

What really stands out is how many people come back — there are more repeat guests here than at most other properties, and that tells you something. It’s not trying to be the fanciest place on the island, but it delivers consistently on the basics that matter. The staff genuinely seems to care about your experience, the location can’t be beat for exploring Kos Town, and you get solid value for what you pay. You know what? Sometimes that’s exactly what you want — a reliable base that lets the destination be the star of the show. This three-star hotel proves that quality doesn’t require extravagance.

Bodrum’s hotels wrap guests in bougainvillea courtyards, rooftop shisha lounges, and concierge-led yacht cruises.

We stayed for one night only, but it was very comfortable. On the day of check-out, we were allowed to stay at the rooftop bar with the swimming pool and use the shower until our late ferry departure at 8 PM. Great experience!
