Live the Local Life , Old Town Kos Overview
First Impressions
Walking up to Live the Local Life , Old Town Kos, you immediately know you’ve found something special. This three-star property sits right in the heart of Kos Town’s historic center, and honestly, the location alone makes it worth considering. The building has that authentic Greek island charm — not overly polished, but welcoming in a way that feels genuine. You can tell from the moment you arrive that this isn’t your typical tourist hotel, and that’s exactly the point.
Location & Neighborhood
Here’s what I love about staying here — you’re literally in the thick of everything that makes Old Town Kos fascinating. The property earned a 9.9 location score, and after spending time in the area, I completely understand why. You can walk to the ancient Asklepion ruins, pop into local tavernas that tourists rarely find, and explore the narrow cobblestone streets without ever needing transportation. The harbor is just a short stroll away, and you know what? You’ll actually want to walk everywhere because the neighborhood is that charming. Couples seem to particularly appreciate this setup — there’s something romantic about having authentic Greek life right outside your door.
The Experience
What sets this place apart is how it delivers on its name’s promise. You’re not just staying in Kos; you’re actually living like someone who belongs here. The staff knows the area intimately and will point you toward experiences that feel authentic rather than touristy. I mean, when’s the last time a hotel helped you find the bakery where locals actually buy their bread? The property maintains that sweet spot between comfort and authenticity — it’s clean and well-maintained without feeling sterile or disconnected from its surroundings.
Practical Comforts
The rooms strike a nice balance between traditional Greek aesthetics and modern necessities. You’ll find everything you need without unnecessary frills — which honestly feels refreshing after staying at places that try too hard. The accommodations are thoughtfully designed, and while this isn’t a high-end resort experience, it’s exactly what you want when you’re spending most of your time exploring the island. The property’s 8.4 rating reflects what I experienced: solid comfort that doesn’t get in the way of your adventure.
Why Guests Love It
This hotel works because it understands what travelers actually want from a Greek island experience. Instead of creating an artificial bubble, Live the Local Life , Old Town Kos connects you with the real Kos Town. You’ll wake up to the sounds of daily life, discover restaurants by following the scent of grilled octopus, and end your evenings watching locals gather in nearby squares. It’s the kind of place that makes you feel like you’ve discovered something special — not because it’s hidden or exclusive, but because it’s genuinely rooted in its community. For couples especially, there’s something magical about sharing these authentic moments together.

Beautiful, spacious, stylish and clean apartment in a great location for Kos town nightlife. There were two spacious bedrooms, a good sized lounge and a small kitchen with dining table. It was also lovely to have an extra toilet separate from the one in the shower room. The agents running the apartment were also incredibly helpful when our flight from the UK was cancelled due to air traffic control issues, sadly delaying the start of our holiday. There was also a welcome gift of a bottle of wine, water, carton of juice and coffee pods for the coffee machine, which was also much appreciated.
