Here’s what I love about the location on Verriopoulou Terma — you’re actually in Kos Town proper, not stuck out in some resort area where you need a taxi for everything. The recent guest rating of 8.1 for location makes total sense when you realize how easy it is to walk to the harbor, the castle, and all those little tavernas tucked into the old town streets. I mean, couples are rating this place highly for romantic getaways, and I get it — there’s something about being able to stroll hand-in-hand to dinner without worrying about transportation that just works.

The Rooms & Comfort

The rooms at Helios strike that perfect balance between simple and comfortable. You’re not getting marble bathrooms or designer furniture, but everything feels fresh and well-maintained. The air conditioning actually works (which, trust me, matters in July), and the beds are genuinely comfortable — not those rock-hard mattresses you sometimes get at budget places. What really impressed me was how quiet it stays at night, even though you’re right in town.

Practical Perks

That free private parking I mentioned? It’s actually a bigger deal than you might think. Try finding a parking spot in Kos Town during summer — it’s a nightmare, and most places either don’t have parking or charge you extra for it. Here, you just pull up and you’re done. The staff seems to really know the area too, so when you ask about the best beach that’s not completely packed with tourists, they’ll actually give you useful directions instead of just pointing toward the most obvious spots.

  The house was exactly the same as seen in pictures, in very good condition. We stayed for 6 days in total. There are two bedrooms and we were 5, so one person slept on the sofa. Although the location of the house is not very far from the city center, it is not a quick walk if you don't have a car. We rented a car, so it wasn't a problem for us at all. There are gardens surrounding the house, which may result in bugs, etc. coming inside the house occasionally. We had some instances regarding this and informed the host as well. The owner seemed really nice too. Overall we were very satisfied,and would recommend a stay here 🙂
