My room was simple but had everything I needed — good air conditioning (crucial in summer), a decent shower, and windows that actually opened to let in that Mediterranean breeze. The kitchen setup is basic but functional, perfect for making coffee in the morning or storing those amazing Greek yogurts from the local market. It’s not fancy, but it’s clean and comfortable, and honestly, when you’re spending most of your day exploring the island, that’s exactly what you want.

The Neighborhood Vibe

What I really appreciated was how this place sits right in a residential area where you get to see actual Greek life happening around you. In the evenings, I’d hear families chatting on their balconies and smell someone’s dinner cooking — it made me feel like I was experiencing the real Kos rather than just the tourist version. The walk to the harbor takes about ten minutes, and you pass through the old town area where there are some genuinely good tavernas that locals frequent. I stumbled into this little restaurant called Taverna Kali Kardia that way, and it ended up being my favorite meal of the trip.

  A great apartment on a quiet street. Lots of locals around and I loved that. Restaurants, grocery stores, shops, coffee, all within walking distance to the house. We were so close to the beach and to the ferry landing to take a day trip over to Bodrum, Turkey. We loved the Island of Kos. The people were so friendly and welcoming. To be able to stand under Hippocrates tree was mind blowing! We would love to come back one day! Thank you for the great stay!
