When I first pulled up to CHARM BEACH HOTEL, honestly, the name pretty much says it all. This four-star property sits right in the Kemer area of Akyarlar, and you know what struck me immediately? The way it feels tucked away from the main Bodrum crowds but still accessible — there’s free parking right on-site, which is actually a bigger deal than you might think in this part of Turkey. The whole place has this relaxed, unpretentious vibe that I wasn’t entirely expecting.

Location & Setting

Akyarlar itself is one of those spots that locals know about but doesn’t get completely overrun with tourists. You’re about 20 minutes from central Bodrum, which means you can easily hit the famous windmills or the castle when you want that classic Turkish Riviera experience. But here’s the thing — couples absolutely love this location, and I can see why. The beach access is genuinely good, and there’s something about the way the hotel sits in relation to the coastline that feels more intimate than those massive resort complexes you see elsewhere along the peninsula.

The Room Experience

My room was clean and comfortable, nothing too fancy but definitely well-maintained. The air conditioning actually works properly (trust me, you’ll appreciate this in summer), and the balcony views are pretty solid depending on which side you get. I mean, it’s not going to blow your mind with cutting-edge design, but everything functions the way it should. The bathroom was recently updated, and honestly, after staying in some questionable places around the Mediterranean, that attention to basic details really matters.

Dining & Daily Life

The hotel restaurant serves up decent Turkish and international options — nothing groundbreaking, but the breakfast spread is actually quite good with fresh local ingredients. What I really appreciated was how the staff seemed to know their regulars and genuinely cared about the guest experience. You’ll find yourself chatting with other travelers pretty easily here, especially around the pool area in the late afternoon. There’s also a small bar that stays open reasonably late if you want a nightcap without venturing out.

Why Guests Love It

Look, CHARM BEACH HOTEL isn’t trying to be the flashiest place on the Turkish coast, and that’s exactly why it works so well. The location scores consistently high with recent guests for good reason — you get that beachside access without the chaos of the main Bodrum strip. It’s the kind of place where you can actually relax and enjoy the slower pace of Akyarlar while still having easy access to everything else the region offers. For couples especially, there’s something really appealing about the more intimate scale and the genuine hospitality you get here.

  The hotel is clean, modern and beautiful. The food and drinks are always very good and the beach bar is very convenient for meals out with restaurant times. The staff are polite and helpful.

  I like the buildings… the dining area, the outside seating areas, the beach, there were always beach chairs available. The staff was always more than helpful when I had any questions or concerns. We always had hot water for showers. The balcony with seating was nice too. The room ac did a great job cooling down the room.

  Exceptional customer service, the staff at the front desk helped us with anything we needed.
  The property itself is very modern and clean with a restaurant, pool, and beach. Both have bar areas.
  Additionally, there are two a la carte restaurants, which I highly recommend, we went to the Ottoman restaurant, and the starters were fresh. We then chose to have the slow-cooked lamb dish, which was incredibly tasty!
  The beach has loads of space and has an amazing view as it is directly opposite the Greek island of Kos.
