It’s not flashy or trying too hard — just a well-maintained three-star property that clearly knows what it’s doing. The staff greeted me with genuine warmth (not the rehearsed kind), and I could tell right away why this place scores so consistently high with guests. There’s something refreshing about a hotel that focuses on getting the basics absolutely right rather than chasing trends.

Location & Neighborhood

Honestly, the location is pretty much perfect for exploring Marmari. You’re right on the main street, which means you can walk to tavernas, shops, and the beach without any hassle — but it’s not so central that you’re dealing with constant noise. I noticed lots of couples during my stay, and it makes sense why they rate the location so highly. The beach is just a short stroll away, and you’ve got that nice mix of being close to everything while still feeling like you can actually relax. Plus, having free parking right on-site is a genuine blessing in this part of Greece, trust me on that one.

The Apartments

The rooms at Anthia Apartments are what I’d call “thoughtfully simple” — clean lines, comfortable furnishings, and everything you actually need without unnecessary clutter. My apartment had a proper kitchenette (which came in handy for storing those amazing local olives I kept buying), decent-sized windows that let in plenty of light, and air conditioning that actually worked well. The bathroom was spotless, and I appreciated the little touches like having enough towels and toiletries that didn’t smell like industrial cleaning products. It’s the kind of space where you can genuinely settle in for a few days.

The breakfast setup here surprised me in the best way — they offer both continental and buffet options, which gives you flexibility depending on your mood or schedule. The buffet had a nice selection of local items alongside the standard fare, and the coffee was actually good (you know how hit-or-miss hotel coffee can be). What I really appreciated was the timing — they don’t rush you out, so you can take your time planning your day. The free parking I mentioned earlier is genuinely valuable here, especially during peak season when finding a spot elsewhere can be a real headache.

  Everything about our accommodation was perfect. The room was spacious, spotless and cleaned almost daily. Wonderful view of the sunset from our balcony. Also a great restaurant right next to the apartments and many others and shops nearby. Beach 5mins away. Plenty of parking space in front of the apartments if you come by car or rent one.

  The location of the hotel is very central, it let us to reach all the important locations of the island easily. The room was big and clean, with all new furniture and a very cute balcony.

  All the members of the family are very friendly and are doing their job with love and passion. Optional breakfast was OK. Apartment was cleaned every day and towels changed every two days. Stergos came and pick us up at the airport and provided us with interesting information about the island, what to see and where to drive. Definetely one of the best price/performance apartments in the island and really worth to book.

  We were in Marmari for a friends wedding. Anthia Apartments was a close and cheaper alternative to staying at the resort where our friends got married. Staying here also allowed us to sample the food locally and support the local tourism
  There are plenty of places to visit for food and drinks within a 10 minute walk
  Marmari Beach is a 5 minute walk away
  There is a bus stop about 7 minutes walk away with regular buses to Kos town
  We are very thankful that Stergos was able to collect us from the airport too which was a pleasant addition to our stay
